Hometown Greetings Edgelits Frame

I finally got around to making one of these fabulous frames for myself.  Inspired by a creation by Gail Ellis.  Pretty simple really the hardest bit was finding a stockist for the lights but ended up getting them from Kmart of all places!

Here is what I have used:

Cardstock/Paper: Whisper White C/S, Merry Little Christmas DSP
Tools: Big Shot, Hometown Greetings Edgelits. Dimensionals and Glue Dots
Accessories: LED String Lights, Frame (both purchased from Kmart)

(all supplies used are Stampin' Up! unless otherwise indicated)

My family were quite impressed for once!

Happy crafting,

Bec

Cookie Cutter Christmas Cards

These are some of the cards I made and sent out this holiday season.  I have cased these cards by the amazing Julie Kettlewell.

Here is what I have used:

Paper/Cardstock: Whisper White C/S, Cherry Cobbler C/S, scraps of retired DSP
Stamps: Cookie Cutter Christmas, Greetings From Santa (for the star - retired),
Ink: Soft Suede
Tools: Cookie Cutter Builder Punch, Big Shot (with Kaisercraft die for merry), Dimensionals
(All items Stampin' Up! unless otherwise stated)

These are a great design for using up those bits of DSP you have collected!  I have cut up the sentiment once stamped to insert the Merry in the middle.  Rudloph does have a red nose but it doesn't show up very well!

Only 8 more sleeps!  Thanks for popping by,

More Christmas Fun!

Hi there!  I have another fun Christmas creation for your today.  I am still not sick of creating Christmas stuff yet.

I wanted to try out making my own night sky background.  I watched an awesome YouTube video by Wendy Cranford which you can see here.  For a first go I don't think it went too badly but my fingers will be stained for a while!

Here is what I have used:

Paper/Cardstock: Whisper White C/S, Silver Foil Sheet
Stamps: SU Hearts Come Home
Ink: Tempting Turquoise, Pacific Point, Night of Navy, Basic Black
Tools: Big Shot with Hometown Greetings Edgelits Die, Sponges, White Gel Pen, Dimensionals
Accessories:  Smoky Slate Ribbon

I masked the moon with a Post It note and sponged over that graduating the ink colours it really is just a matter of working the colours until you are happy.  Some white gel pen for snow, added some of the stars from the Edgelits set and stamped Santa and his reindeer in Basic Black.  The building layers are popped up on dimensionals to give it some pow factor!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you are all organised for the coming festivities!

Christmas Cards with Memories and More

I decided to see how many cards I could get out of a pack of Memories and More Card Pack.  These are designed for pocket scrapbooking but they make awesome cards too!  In one pack you get 92 double sided cards in 2 sizes so lots of options!  I think this is one of my favourites so far.

Here is what I have used:

Cardstock/Paper: Old Olive C/S, Merry Little Christmas Memories & More Card Pack
Accessories: Rhinestones, Stampin' Blends, Old Olive Satin Ribbon (retired)

I have used a card from the pack underneath one of the awesome acetate card overlays (of which there are 4 in the pack).  I have adhered these using glue dots strategically placed underneath the rhinestones and ribbon so you don't see them.  The rhinestones I have coloured with my Old Olive Stampin' Blends marker to make them coordinate.  I love that you can use these markers for more than just colouring images!  This card came together really quickly but I think has a bit of wow factor too.

Hope you are doing some creating today.

CTC 139

Hi Crafty people!  I have been a bit missing in action but hoping to get back into blogging on a bit more regular basis.  Life gets in the way!  I have made this card for this weeks challenge over at Caseing the Catty.  I love the Jar of Love set and the matching dies but haven't used it much as yet.

Here is what I have used:

Card/Paper: Basic Black Cardstock, Whisper White Cardstock, retired DSP.
Ink: Basic Black, Soft Sky, Tangerine Tango
Stamps: Jar of Love
Accessories: Linen Thread, Mini Dimensionals
Tools: Big Shot, Everyday Jars Framelits, retired tag punch
(all products are Stampin'Up! unless otherwise indicated)

I have cased the layout of the coffee card on page 30 of the catalogue and wanted a simple card for a young boy.  It is popped up on dimensionals to give the jar a bit of a pop.

Thanks

CTC 133

I can't believe I haven't blogged since January!  Life has been mad to say the least but I have some awesome new goodies from Stampin' Up! to play with from the new catalogue and I decided I would play along with this weeks Casing the Catty challenge.

This weeks challenge is to case a card from pages 86-101 which is the love and sympathy section.  I needed to make a card for my baby who is 18 this week.

I cased the card from page 97 of the catalogue.

And this is the card I created

I have used:

Card/Paper: Peekaboo Peach C/S, Whisper White C/S, Colour Theory DSP stack, Vellum
Stamps: Sunshine Sayings, Teeny Tiny Sentiments
Dies/Punches: Sunshine Wishes, 2"Circle Punch and a very old SU heart die.
Embellishments: Copper thread, Glitter Enamel Dots

I have also spritzed some Lemon Lime Twist with the old spritzing tool and used some numbers that I coloured with my Lemon Lime Twist Marker (I had a blob of ink on my card so needed to cover it up!).

Thanks for popping by and don't forget if you would love any of these products let me know!

Gorgeous New Stamp Set!

With the launch of the new occasions catalogue that are a ton of new stamps and products to enjoy!  I loved this one as soon as I saw it and new I would have to add it to my collection.  It is called Yummy In My Tummy.  Super cute for all those kids cards I need to make.

Everything apart from the wooden number 6 and the googly eyes is Stampin' Up!  I have used some retired DSP paired with Old Olive cardstock.  The sentiment is from the Watercolor Wishes stamp set which comes with the Watercolor Wishes card making kit.  The embossing folder is also a retired one but was the best fit for this card.  The sentiment is popped up on Dimensionals.

Thanks for popping by and don't forget you can check out all the wonderful new goodies but the usual regulars by clicking on the link to my online store.

Cheers,

Bec
